Based in Guindalera Market on c/Eraso, this small yet perfectly formed stall has been selling a range of chocolates, tea & coffee since 2012. Angela tells me that they originally focused on coffees but have seen the market shift to tea in recent years, as Spaniards have discovered the pleasures of a fine ‘cuppa’. To complement her vast range of green and black teas, Angela also sells a variety of mugs and tea pots. From classically fine porcelain cups to larger mugs decorated with brightly coloured prints from the likes of Klimt or Monet, they make the perfect gift, especially when coupled with one of the exquisite-looking chocolate bars that she also sells.
As to the barrio, Angela is the third generation of her family to live here and absolutely loves it. “We’ve got friends here, I don’t want to leave the area, it has so many tranquil areas and trees, it’s great!” She’s excited with the new proposal of pedestrianising c/Eraso the first Saturday of every month and hopes it becomes a more regular thing. She’s planning on bringing a selection of her produce out onto the street and hopes it’ll give her stall much more visibility. Given her delicious wares the up-coming initiative is bound to be successful.
Con sede en Guindalera Market en c/Eraso, este pequeño puesto vende una variedad de chocolates, té y café desde 2012. Ángela me dice que originalmente se enfocaron en cafés, pero que han visto el mercado cambiar al té en los últimos años. Para complementar su amplia gama de tés verdes y negros, Ángela también vende una variedad de tazas y teteras. Desde tazas de porcelana fina clásica hasta tazas más grandes decoradas con estampados de colores brillantes como Klimt o Monet, son el regalo perfecto, especialmente cuando se combinan con una de las barras de chocolate de aspecto exquisito que también vende.
En cuanto al barrio, Ángela es la tercera generación de su familia que vive aquí y le encanta. "Tenemos amigos aquí, no quiero salir del barrio, tiene tantas áreas tranquilas y árboles, ¡me encanta!" Está entusiasmada con la nueva propuesta de peatonalizar c/Eraso el primer sábado de cada mes y espera que se convierta en algo más regular. Está planeando llevar una selección de sus productos a la calle y espera que le dé a su puesto mucha más visibilidad. Y seguramente tendrá éxito.
